As seen in my portfolio, I am versatile in both illustration style as well as subject matter. I am constantly working hard to improve my skills and branching out in all different styles and media. I love painting fantasy/sci-fi subjects, often getting inspiration from movies and tv shows. Favorite movies & TV shows that inspire me: Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Star Wars Trilogy, The Matrix, Pirates the Caribbean, Serenity, the Indiana Jones Trilogy, Phantom of the Opera, Moulin Rouge, V for Vendetta, Pan’s Labyrinth, pretty much all Burton films, Supernatural, Angel, Firefly, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I love to write and often illustrate scenes and characters from my work-in-progress novels. My love for animals also serves as a major inspiration in my art. Besides art, I also enjoy photography, reading, bicycling, rollerblading, jogging, playing the piano and attempting to play the guitar (I’m still learning!). I am currently working as a freelance artist for Mackinac Island Press as well as taking private commissions. |
