Entry for the Good vs. Evil contest.
My interpretation is more about inner conflict. This is kinda a personal piece for me as well...recently I went through a tough time mentally for a few months but eventually got through it. It's something that I think I will always have to deal with but at least now I have a little more control over it. And that's all I'm going to say about that. Anyway, I wanted the portray evil/darkness as an colorless cold world, and good/light as warm and inviting. She is rising from the grasping hands of evil...her color and life returning to her. You can interpret as you like, but that is my explanation behind it. And I know there are countless entries with angels or figures with wings but (1) I LOVE wings and (2) I don't care.  Please fav if you like! And comments are very much appreciated as well! Tools: Photoshop CS3, Corel Painter and wacom tablet. Reference used for the woman from *mjranum-stock, everything else from my head.  Time: I have no idea. But I've been working on it for a couple weeks. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
